In news that will break many makeup hearts (including ours), Becca has announced that it’s closing their brand in September 2021.
Yes, the creator of your all time favourite highlighters is going to be no more and we can’t quite believe it.
The brand made the statement on their Instagram page today, citing Covid as one of the reasons the business can no longer continue.
The global pandemic has had an impact on everyone around the world on many levels. It has also had a tremendous impact on so many businesses. At BECCA, an accumulation of challenges, together with the global impact of COVID-19, has sadly been more than our business can withstand, and we have had to make the heartbreaking decision to close down the BECCA brand at the end of September 2021.

Becca was founded in Australia in 2001 by makeup artist Rebecca Morrice Williams. It launched in the UK in 2001 and became known for their natural looking products like Beach Tint which mimicked that Australian glow.
The brand was bought by Estée Lauder in 2016 and since teamed up with celebrities like Khloe Kardashian and Chrissy Teigen for limited edition collections.
Their most recognisable collection to date remains their Champagne Pop collaboration with YouTube Jaclyn Hill, which was originally just one highlighter but was turned into an entire collection after it’s sell-out success.
