Fans of Saturday Night Takeaway were left emotional as the show returned, praising it for cheering them up amid the ongoing pandemic.

The return of the much-loved show, hosted by Ant and Dec, represented a small piece of normalcy for many amid the coronavirus pandemic, which was enough to move them to tears.

Despite the show having a slightly different feel to normal as the audience was beamed in virtually rather than being in the studio, Ant and Dec’s heartwarming segments and hilarious capers went down a treat with viewers at home.
