Bing bang bong, sing sang song, ding dang dong… top 30, hun.

The song that has been stuck on a loop in your head for every minute of every hour since 7pm last Thursday is officially a chart hit, as UK Hun? by the United Kingdolls has cracked the not only the Official Charts top 40, but the top 30.

A week after debuting on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, the insanely catchy UK Hun? has entered the charts at number 27 – just two spots behind Dua Lipa’s new track We’re Good.

The version of the song performed by queens Bimini Bon-Boulash, Tayce, Lawrence Chaney and A’Whora is sitting ahead of Slowthai’s Cancelled featuring Skepta and Headie One’s Siberia featuring Burna Boy – as well as Ava Max’s My Head & My Heart, the performance video for which stars Bimini Bon-Boulash.

This feat means that UK Hun? has outdone Drag Race UK series one hit Break Up (Bye Bye) by the Frock Destroyers, which made it to number 35.

The song, written by Freddy Scott and Leland, was performed twice on last week’s Drag Race UK as part of the ‘RuRuVision Song Contest’ challenge.

Joe Black, Tia Kofi, Sister Sister and Ellie Diamond formed Bananadrama, but their performance was criticised by RuPaul, Michelle Visage, Graham Norton and MNEK.

However, the United Kingdolls version, which ended with Bimini jumping off a chair into the splits, won the challenge and shot to the top of the iTunes charts thanks to its insanely catchy lyrics.

While fans have been downloading and streaming the track in their droves, many have complained about not being able to get the ‘bing bang bong’ chorus out of their head – and we’re apologising to those people in advance for reminding them of the hook.

All four United Kingdolls remain in Drag Race UK following this week’s Snatch Game episode, and in a month’s time, we will find out who will be crowned the UK’s next drag superstar by Ru.

Meanwhile on the charts, Olivia Rodrigo has landed her sixth consecutive week at number one with Drivers License.

The teenager managed to hold firm despite a challenge from Tjay and 6LACK, who have settled for number two with their song Calling My Phone.

And the United Kingdolls aren’t the only ones repping Eurovision in the top 40, as Duncan Laurence’s Arcade is at number 33, nearly two years after it won the Song Contest for The Netherlands.

The song has had a new lease of life after going viral on TikTok.

Over on the album chart, Slowthai has got his first number one album, as his second record Tyron hit the top spot, finishing more than double ahead of Foo Fighters.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK is on Thursdays at 7pm on BBC Three.
