The Great Pottery Throw Down 2021 launches tonight on Channel 4 and will see a bunch of new contestants battling it out to be named this year’s winner.
The new series will be hosted by Derry Girls star Siobhan McSweeney, who takes over the presenting spot from Melanie Sykes, while returning judge Keith Brymer Jones will be joined by newcomer Rich Miller.
The first episode will see the potters challenged with making a cheese set and port chalices as the competition kicks off – but who will be named potter of the week and who will be the first to leave?

When was The Great Pottery Throw Down 2021 filmed?
This year’s series of The Great Pottery Throw Down was filmed at Gladstone Pottery Museum in Longton, rather than its usual spot of Middleport Pottery in Stoke-On-Trent.
The contestants, judges and crew formed a bubble to allow them to film the series during the coronavirus pandemic.
