Matt and Reby Hardy are expecting their fourth child together.
The AEW wrestler – who made his name over the years in WWE before moving to the rival promotion in 2020 – revealed the heartwarming news on Friday night and confirmed the couple are expecting a baby girl.
Sharing a gif on Twitter with his wife and their sons Maxel, five, Wolfgang, three, and 13-month-old Bartholomew, Matt wrote: ‘#TeamBoy is SO stacked in House Hardy, we decided to add a new member to #TeamGirl! (sic)’
Reby shared the same gorgeous clip on her Instagram page, and joked she has ‘no clue’ how she’ll cope with a baby girl.
She teased: ‘No clue what to do now. No. Clue. #issagirl (sic)’
Plenty of fans and people across the wrestling world responded with well wishes after the wonderful news.
Fellow AEW star Matt Sydal replied: ‘Congratulations to you and the family!’
Dark Order’s Evil Uno tweeted: ‘Congratulations Matt!’
And Thunder Rosa added: ‘Congratulations to you two! This are amazing news! (sic)’
Matt is now the third AEW wrestler set to welcomed a new baby into the world, with Jon Moxley and Cody Rhodes previously revealing they will become fathers for the first time.
Cody and his wife Brandi revealed their bombshell with a sweet video package on AEW Dynamite, and later opened up about their news.
The mum-to-be told PEOPLE magazine last month: ‘Cody and I are so excited and overwhelmed by this news.
‘We’ve had seven exciting years of marriage, worked together to grow our careers and our core at AEW from the ground up, and now here we are embarking on another incredible chapter.
‘We have always talked about it as a future, and it turns out that the future is now. It’s surreal that parenthood is right around the corner! We are ready and excited to dive right in.’
Meanwhile, Moxley – known to WWE fans as Dean Ambrose – also made the announcement on AEW television, when he casually dropped having a baby on the way into a Dynamite promo back in November.
His wife Renee Paquette then joked: ‘Now I can finally start telling you guys just how sore my boobs are.’
