Phillip Schofield jokes Holly Willoughby is missing from This Morning because she’s on The Masked Singer

Phillip Schofield joked that his co-host Holly Willoughby is missing from This Morning because she is ‘filming’ for The Masked Singer.

Yesterday Phillip revealed that Holly had been replaced by Rochelle Humes because she was taking a couple of extra days to spend with her family.

Holly was absent again for Tuesday’s episode, although this time Phillip joked that she was missing because she is actually Badger from The Masked Singer.

‘Hiya, still here, still here,’ Phillip said as he opened the show.

‘Holly’s not around today she’s just about to wrap up her filming commitments with The Masked Singer, so she will be back with us tomorrow.

‘Badger, who’d have thought?’

‘You’re naughty,’ Rochelle laughed.

‘I shouldn’t have said it, but there we go,’ Phillip added.

Later on in the episode, Phillip went on to explain that his co-host was having childcare issues and ensured viewers that she would ‘be back tomorrow’.

The Masked Singer UK is back on our screens and has gripped the nation once again.

Last weekend, Mel B was the second celebrity to be unveiled on the weird and wacky ITV talent show.

The week before, Alien became the first contestant on the new series of The Masked Singer UK to be unmasked.

After landing in the bottom three with Swan and Badger, Alien was selected by the panellists to get the chop, revealing singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor under the costume.

But, is Holly really Badger?

The Masked Singer returns on Saturday at 7pm on ITV and This Morning airs daily at 10am.
