Madonna has revealed she is working on her very own biopic that will share the ‘roller-coaster ride’ of her life and career in music.

The pop icon, 62, is set to direct and co-write the movie alongside Academy Award-winning director Diablo Cody, who previously worked on 2007 film Juno.

Madonna’s biopic is being developed by Universal Pictures and confirming its release in a press statement, the Like A Prayer hit-maker has said: ‘I want to convey the incredible journey that life has taken me on as an artist, a musician, a dancer [and] a human being, trying to make her way in this world.’

‘Music has kept me going and art has kept me alive. There are so many untold and inspiring stories and who better to tell it than me. It’s essential to share the roller coaster ride of my life with my voice and vision.’

NME reports Madonna teased her biopic will be about the ‘happy, sad, mad, crazy, good, bad and ugly’ journey her career has taken her on, as well as the ‘struggle as an artist to survive in a man’s world’.

The star teased she has been busy working on a ‘secret screenplay’ with Diablo via Instagram, as she shared behind-the-scenes footage of the pair brainstorming ideas together.

‘When you’re stuck in a house with multiple injuries what do you do.? ………..Write a Screenplay with Diablo about…………..📖🎥🎬🎤🎼🖤?#nuts #iconic #walk #serve #diablo,’ she captioned the short video.

The pair are sitting at a coffee table covered in drafts and in the clip, Madonna can be heard discussing an outfit she once wore including garters and says: ‘All these details are important.’

Fans have since tipped Ozark star Julia Garner to play Madonna in the biopic, after the music legend recently followed Julia on social media.

And it’s not just the big screen that Madge is hoping to conquer, as reports revealed she is eyeing up a new recording contract, after deciding to leave Interscope Records after nearly 10 years.

It’s claimed Madonna is entertaining a new ‘eight figure’ deal at Warner Records, where she initially started her long music career, according to The Sun.

Her decades-long stint in the music biz has seen Madonna sell a huge 335million albums and singles worldwide, making her the best-selling female recording artist of all time.
