WWE faction RETRIBUTION on Raw

For weeks now, RETRIBUTION have been running roughshod over the WWE landscape.

However, the mysterious group – and its unknown members – have sparked more questions than answers during their time on Raw and SmackDown, with the identity of the masked superstars still unconfirmed.

Naturally, fans have been working away online trying to figure out who will be part of the faction, but we’re still largely none the wiser.

That said, you get the feeling the big reveal has to come soon, with the group finally talking for the first time on Raw last week as they laid out their intentions and relatively cryptic reasons for existing.

But when will we find out who’s involved and more importantly, who are they?

Who are the RETRIBUTION members?

The storyline itself has been inconsistent, but there have been some very strong moments with the mysterious faction targeting the likes of Rey Mysterio, The Street Profits and Braun Strowman over recent weeks.

The big question that still remains is who is actually behind the masks, and there are some interesting theories floating around.

Although some – yes, including us! – were hoping for someone like Roman Reigns to lead the group, their appearance on Monday Night Raw last week cast some doubt over that, with internet sleuths trying to figure out who was talking.

Using fancy technology to get rid of the editing done on their voices, people seem pretty confident that NXT stars Dominik Dijakovic and Mercedes Martinez were talking, while one of the masked intruders does bear a certain resemblance to Mia Yim.

Those names are nothing new to the rumour mill, and we could be seeing an NXT invasion of disgruntled stars looking to make their own opportunities.

Who will be the RETRIBUTION leader?

At this point, Dijakovic seems the most likely – even after everyone from Roman Reigns to CM Punk was linked to the group.

Although he may not be the biggest name, WWE can make it work if they present him and the faction in the right way.

He can certainly hold his own on the mic and in the ring, and Keith Lee’s recent Raw debut has shown the company is more than capable of pushing a new star right to the top of the card.

When will RETRIBUTION be unmasked?

Hopefully soon!

After weeks of turning the lights on and off, causing production issues and attacking wrestlers (and backstage staff), RETRIBUTION finally talked last week.

It was a big step and saw the group lay out their mission statement, and hopefully signals some major developments in the storyline.

Look for another twist to the tale on this week’s Raw as WWE will surely look to capitalise on interest in the group before it fades.
