Amid all the glamour and drama in Selling Sunset, our favourite luxury real estate agents have been trying to sell a sprawling $40 million (£32 million) mansion since season one.
The swanky pad, which sits on 20,000 square feet of land in the Hollywood Hills, was introduced to viewers in the first episode of the Netflix reality show with Brett and Jason Oppenheim giving their team of realtors a grand tour.
At the time, the huge property was still in construction with the swimming pool completely empty. But fast forward to season two and it’s now the setting of private parties with the finishing touches done to reveal one of the most opulent houses we ever did see.
Originally priced at a cool $43.9 million (£35.5 million), it boasts five bedrooms, nine bathrooms, four hot tubs, a 175-foot linear pool with a waterfall that flows into an atrium garden, four spas and a 15-foot outdoor television that rises up from the ground and can be seen from any room.
That’s a lot of house to take in.
In the teaser for season three, Jason reveals that he’s finally sold the property which became his pride and joy.
And while the owner’s identity has been a secret until now, Jason has finally revealed who snapped up one of the most extravagant properties LA has to offer.
The broker told Metro.co.uk exclusively: ‘It was not someone who I would class as a celebrity.
‘It was a very wealthy young couple and quite an impressive young couple.’
When pressed if the new owners are billionaires because, who else could afford such an eye-watering price tag, Jason remained professional yet coy and replied: ‘I’m not going to comment on their wealth but I think it speaks for itself.
‘I signed a non-disclosure so I think that the most information that I can provide is that it was a wonderful young couple. A very successful young couple and I’m very happy for them.’
Realtor and Selling Sunset newbie Amanza Smith joked: ‘Jason had actually shown it to a very handsome, successful, young bachelor and I was really hoping that that person would buy the house.
‘We would fit very well in that home.’
The property sold for $35.5 million (£29 million) and Jason is estimated to have earned a staggering commission of $1.2 million (£970,000) so the champagne is definitely on him.
Selling Sunset season two is available to watch on Netflix now and season three arrives on 7 August.
