This Morning viewers were left in stitches today after Holly Willoughby got the giggles after saying she ‘likes a cockachon.’

A cock-a-chon, of course, is a breed of dog, a cross between bichon frise and a cocker spaniel. What else could she have meant? get your mind out of the gutter.

Holly and co-host Phillip Schofield were fronting a segment all about viewers’ cute puppies today when the Dancing on Ice star suddenly seemed very taken with one dog in particular.

‘I like a cock-a-chon!’ Holly exclaimed as the dog popped up on the screen, but Phil’s reaction made her burst into laughter.

‘Do you?’ Phil exclaimed, as the entire production crew were laughing and Holly had to even hide behind her script to stop the giggles.

We’d just like to repeat – cock-a-chon is a breed of dog. It’s a dog.

This Morning was very dog-friendly today, as the segment of seeing viewers’ cute puppies was dragged on no end as Holly and Phil tried to kill some time as their guest, Russell Crowe, was running late.

Phil even admitted to the cameras that they had ‘nothing better to do.’

‘Can I just tell you something?’ Phil asked. ‘[This segment] was planned, because we’re waiting for Russell Crowe and we’ve got nothing else to do.’

Holly added: ‘There’s nothing going on in the world at the moment, that’s why.’

It certainly beats yesterday’s highlight – a lesson on how to use a public toilet properly.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
