Meadow Walker and Vin Diesel’s children have proved that their family bond has been inherited from their fathers.
Meadow – the daughter of the late The Fast And The Furious actor Paul Walker – took a selfie with Vin’s three children Similce, 12, Vincent, 10, and five-year-old Pauline, showing that they are still as close as ever.
In the sweet picture, Meadow, 21, took the photo, while Similce, Vincent and Pauline – who is named after Meadow’s dad – smiled around her.
Meadow captioned the picture: ‘family, forever’, and tagged Vin, 52, in the post.
Walker’s friends and followers were loving the adorable snap, with Furious 7 actress Nathalie Emmanuel commenting: ‘Miss you all’ and Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot leaving a string of heart emojis.
Meadow is super close with Vin Diesel and his family, with the action star being her godfather.
Diesel was best friends with her late dad Paul, who was killed in a car crash alongside friend Roger Rodas when he was 40 years old.
The devastating crash on 30 November 2013 occurred when the Porsche Carrera GT Rodas was driving crashed into a concrete lamp post and burst into flames.
Walker’s father and Meadow filed wrongful death lawsuits against Porsche, both of which reached settlements.
Two years before the actor’s death, Meadow – Paul’s daughter with former girlfriend Rebecca Soteros – had moved to California to live with her dad.
Meadow often shares pictures of her father on Instagram, and in 2015, she founded the Paul Walker Foundation to help protect the oceans and wildlife.
And as Meadow follows in her dad’s footsteps, Vin’s eldest daughter is doing the same.
Last year, Similce joined the cast of Netflix’s animated spin-off Fast & Furious: Spy Racers, proving that this franchise is in the Diesel family’s blood.
In fact, Similce, whose mum is Vin’s longtime partner Paloma Jimenez, was actually born when her dad was filming the fourth Fast & Furious film.
The actor previously told Variety: ‘It was a long day, where [Paul] and I were fighting each other in this scene. He came to my trailer at the end of the day and said, “Something is on your mind.” I had a secret. I wasn’t telling anyone in the world that my daughter was about to be born.
‘I’ll never forget what he said to me. He said, “Vin, you go into that hospital room, and you cut the umbilical cord. It will be the best day of your life.” That’s the day that she was born. I say that because that’s how real the themes of familyhood run in the Fast & Furious saga, and why I am so proud.’
The latest installment in the franchise, F9, has been delayed by a year due to the coronanvirus pandemic, and will be released in April 2021 after missing its April 2020 slot.
